Miss Cheerilee by NastyLady Miss Cheerilee by NastyLady

Cheerilee definitely needs more love. She's one of the most important supporting characters and still, I wasn't even able to find a good fanfiction about her! I thought that after "Hearts and Hooves Day" (which was btw one of my favourite s2 episodes) sometning may change, but apparently I was wrong. (or I'm blind and can't find all this amazing stuff)

A little about this pic. I managed to draw it in exactly 1,5 hour, which is yay. The longest I was dealing with... her nose. She probably is more victorian than steampunk, but I just couldn't imagine a teacher wearing a top hat and tons of cog jewellery.
Ohdear, pants! Why pants? Well, without them she looked a bit too... saucy. Especially wearing those leather boots and a stick in her mouth. Victorian teacher weren't suppose to look saucy AT ALL.

Look up Cheerilee's Day Off on fimfiction. Not all that creative, but it's really cute and funny. I could definitely see it being an episode in the show.

I agree, Cheerilee doesn't get enough love; but then, she is my favorite pony so I'm biased. The fact that Vinyl Scratch gets more love than Cheerilee tells me that something has gone amiss.

That being said, this is great work. Steampunk ponies are best ponies. Steampunk and Victorian walk hand-in-hand so this is fine the way it is.

She looks really mean...
like drag you to the front of the room and give you 15 smacks on the knuckles with a wooden ruler in front of your classmates then putting you in a dunce cap and making you stand in a corner for half an hour because you dropped a pencil while she was talking.

Want a good fanfiction about Cheerilee?
Well I don't know much about your taste, but try
Cheerilee's Garden.

I definitely like the pants and pointing stick in this drawing, she still seems like the nice Cheerilee we all know and love, but that doesn't stop her from looking like a teacher either. I always thought she should have something in the actual show to set her apart from the other ponies, a nice collar or glasses or SOMETHING. Anyways, another epic drawing!

Just remember that teachers will never tell you
Ann Lies.

there are many different kinds of seaponies as there are fish in the sea. Some (seapony Lyra) are like seahorses others are like kelpies, and seals

We don't need no education.
We don't need no thought control.
No dark sarcasm in the classroom.
Teacher, leave those kids alone.
Hay, Teacher, leave those kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.

To be honest... I'm not so happy with this one as much as I was about the others. o-o; It's just something about the clothes. Still amazing though. xD Just not the strongest piece in the series.

I have to agree that compared to the others, Cheerilee looks a bit... plain. But I just can't imagine myself a teacher wearing too much accessories and things.

Point taken. I think you definitely pulled off the Victorian thing, though. ^o^ For some reason it just goes with her. Steampunk wouldn't fit Cheerilee very well.

yay Cheerilee :D
not all speampunk needs cogs and gears. the important part is the retro/Victorian look and the setting. who knows, maybe she was a steam-powered blackboard or something :D
and 1.5h? I could make a crappy colored sketch in that time, but nothing as detailed as this thing. :worship:
and look, the differential equation form every single episode we see her blackboard :D cool =P

I know, but there ere still a few differences between steampunk and victorian and I think "victorian" fits Cheerilees outfit better.

I dunno, I'm not sure I've ever seen much difference between the two, aside from the obvious addition of the gears and other cool-looking sciency stuff. Lots of leather, frequently tall hats, not particularly revealing, women's clothes sometimes poofy and frilly, etc. etc. I think that's part of what makes the whole steampunk look interesting - the contrast between the reserved Victorian-style clothing and the louder, funkier science elements.
