FINALLY - Rarity. She's my faourite M6 pony by now and for some reason I didn't upload any image of her on dA. The time has come to fix that mistake.
Rarity looks beautiful in dresses, especially not-so-cute-but-classy ones. Plus, I love shading stiff materials.

I must first say that the way you have color moving in this picture is fantastic. Transitions trough the various shades of green, brown and red are nicely balanced by Rarity's coloring of white and royal purple. The pose is very striking and describes Rarity's personality, proud, elegant and aware of it. She dominates the fright frame, moving my eye from the bottom left corner with her flowing dress right to to her face at the above center of the composition. I enjoy how this movement is countered by the light to dark gradient effect of the background. It isn't too noisy or distracting but it still has interesting shapes in it that make Rarity stand out. The concept is solid and the expression on her face really sets it off. Diggin' the hoofboots too. Normally I don't, but everything about this piece is put together so nicely that I wouldn't take anything out. There is a lot of energy about it too, the cross hatch shading along with the off-white highlighting gives it a very authentic feel, like I'm looking at a water-colored lithograph. Very, very nice piece.
I love your original style. Its amazing how you make your drwings seem lightly drawn, with huge impact. The values are stunning, as well as minute details.
