Steampunk Twilight by NastyLady Steampunk Twilight by NastyLady
Dun dun duuuun, fillies and gentlecolts, meet Twilight Sparkle The Inventor!

But! She doesn't only invent fancy guns and stuff - she also likes to use them in practice, eg for extermianting clockwork Parasprites. Pretty useful.

I absolutely love this piece of art. I've been a fan of your steampunk ponies for a while, and this might possibly be my favourite.
First off, your art style is delightfully unique and a pleasure to look at. The combination of sketch-like lines and shading with full-bodied colouring and attention to minute details catches my eye and makes me fall in love with the entire form.
The way you drew Twilight is a way that I'm not entirely used to, but is far from a bad thing. She has a younger, more tomboyish look to her, which fits perfectly with what this piece is trying to convey.
I can tell you put a lot of work in to every aspect of this work, and it pays off. The concept of a parasprite gun is a work of genius, and her goggles and boots are just the perfect amount of leather and technology to be steampunk without flooding my vision with gears. The hat, as well, makes me smile.
Overall, this is currently one of my favorite pieces of art ever.

I've only seen a few steampunk renditions of the Mane 6 besides your workings. I'd have to say that yours are a true expression of what steampunk truly represents. It's slightly dark, grainy, Victorian, and shows destruction can have class. Most MLP artwork doesn't jump out at me, so when I saw this most recent piece, I was even more impressed than the time I saw your re-styling of Rainbow Dash. There really isn't much I can say negatively about this except that her shadow seems to be lacking and the wreckage at her hooves could be a little more defined.
